A2 Sociology: Beliefs in Society

In class we have been discussing the role of the ‘church’ in relation to social change and it seems that in the UK, rather than encouraging conservativism, the C of E often is keen to challenge the status quo.

Also, don’t forget that Shiner argues that when the church gets involved in political matters it is a sign of secularisation. Check the PowerPoint for further clarification.
